The Psalm

Psalm 139 — attributed to King David, written about one thousand years before the birth of Christ. One of the oldest and most intimate texts in the Bible. This is not a prayer of a community — this is a conversation between one man and God. David does not ask for anything. He does not beg. He stands in amazement before a knowledge that he cannot take in.

In this part — the first of two — we decode verses 1–12: God’s knowledge of the human being and His presence everywhere.

O LORD, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down,
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
O LORD, you know it completely.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is so high that I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
If I say, 'Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light around me become night,’
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is as bright as the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
— Psalm 139:1–12 (New Revised Standard Version)

Let us decode the psalm verse by verse.

1. „O LORD, you have searched me and known me” (verse 1)

The instruction: God does not watch you from a distance. He does not look down at you the way a spectator looks at an ant. He searches you through — He is inside you and He knows you from within. Not like someone who examines you. Like someone who wrote you.

The experience: People of deep faith describe the feeling that nothing can be hidden from God. Not because God spies on them — but because God is so close that hiding is physically impossible. This is not fear. This is intimacy. Think of your breath — you cannot run away from your own breath, because your breath is you.

The mechanism: Your genome does not observe you from the outside. Your genome is inside you — literally inside every living cell of your body. The genome is not an external controller that watches and judges. The genome is the code from which you were built. The genome knows your eyes, because the genome encoded them. The genome knows your heart, because the genome wrote the instruction for building it. The genome knows your brain, because the genome designed every neuronal connection inside it.

No one knows you better than your own genome — because no one else wrote you.

To search through and to know — this is not observation. This is authorship.

───────── ✦ ─────────

2. „You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away” (verse 2)

The instruction: God knows your every movement and your every thought. Not only the great, important, solemn ones. Also the everyday ones — sitting down, standing up, thoughts that are barely forming. God knows you as a whole — not a fragment, not a sample, but you.

The experience: Think about what it is like when someone truly knows you. Not an acquaintance — someone who has known you since you were a child. Someone who sees that something is wrong before you open your mouth. Someone who knows what you are about to do before you do it. Not because this person is guessing — because this person knows your pattern.

Now imagine someone who has known you not since childhood — but since the moment you were conceived. Someone who knows not only your habits — but your code.

The mechanism: When you sit down, your body switches into rest mode. Your heart rate slows, your breathing calms, your muscles relax, your blood pressure drops. When you stand up, everything reverses: your heart rate rises, your muscles tense, your blood pressure jumps, and blood is directed to your legs so that you do not faint. You do not think about any of this. You simply sit down and stand up. Yet every time, your body runs a complicated program — a program written in the genome before you were born.

„You discern my thoughts from far away” — your intentions begin in your brain. An impulse in the prefrontal cortex (the front part of the brain that plans actions), activation of motor neurons (the nerve cells that control movement), a plan of action. Yet this brain — every neuron in it, every synaptic connection, every neurotransmitter — was built from instructions stored in the genome. The genome does not „peek at” your intentions. The genome built the machinery that generates your intentions. The genome knows your intentions because the genome knows your brain from the inside — because the genome wrote your brain.

David says: you know when I sit down and when I rise up. The genome says: I wrote the program that makes this possible — before you stood up for the first time.

───────── ✦ ─────────

3. „You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways” (verse 3)

The instruction: God does not know only your moments — God knows your roads. Not only: „now you are sitting, now you are standing.” God knows the whole trajectory: where you are coming from, where you are going, every step along the way. Activity and rest — the whole cycle.

The experience: Think about your day. You wake up, you eat, you work, you rest, you eat, you sleep. This is a cycle — and the cycle repeats every day with small variations. Yet not only the day is a cycle. Your life is a cycle: childhood, youth, adulthood, old age. Your year is a cycle: winter, spring, summer, autumn — and your body responds differently to every season. God knows not only what you are doing now — God knows the whole road.

The mechanism: „My path and my lying down” — this is a literal description of the circadian rhythm (the daily rhythm of the body). Your body works in cycles of twenty-four hours, regulated by the clock genes: CLOCK, BMAL1, PER, CRY. These genes tell your body when to be active and when to rest. When to produce cortisol (in the morning, so that you get up) and when to produce melatonin (in the evening, so that you fall asleep). When to digest, when to regenerate, when to build muscle.

„All my ways are known to you” — the genome does not know only one day. The genome knows the entire developmental path: growth genes active in childhood, sex genes active during puberty, metabolism genes in adulthood, ageing genes after the age of fifty. Every „road” of your life is written into the genome — from the first cell division to the last breath.

David says: all my ways are known to you. The genome says: I wrote a program for every one of them — for activity and for rest, for day and for night, for every stage from conception to death.

───────── ✦ ─────────

4. „Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely” (verse 4)

The instruction: God knows your word before you speak it. God knows the word completely — not a fragment, not an outline, but the whole word. And this is a warning as powerful as it is a comfort. Because if God knows your word before you say it, then God also knows its consequences. Every word that leaves your mouth has consequences — for you and for other people. God sees those consequences before you speak. The question is: do you see them?

The experience: Think about words that changed your life.

Someone said to you: „I am proud of you” — and you felt a warmth that you remember to this day. Perhaps twenty years have passed — and those three words are still working inside you.

Someone said to you: „you are good for nothing” — and you felt a blow that you remember to this day. Perhaps twenty years have passed — and those words are still sitting inside you. They come back at night. They come back when you hesitate. They come back when you want to try something new.

Words are not sounds that vanish after being spoken. Words stay — in the body, in the memory, in the chromatin (the complex of DNA and proteins inside the cell nucleus).

The Power of Words

David speaks about a word on the tongue — and we treat words like air. We speak and we forget. Yet the body does not forget.

Good words — prayer, blessing, praise, encouragement, forgiveness, a declaration of love — trigger specific biochemical reactions. They lower cortisol. They raise oxytocin. They activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the part of the nervous system that calms the body down). They open the chromatin. Research shows that words of support and affirmation change gene expression in the person who hears them.

A mother who tells her child „I love you” changes the neurochemistry of the child. Serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine. The brain of the child forms new neuronal connections in response to these words. The chromatin opens. The genes responsible for the sense of safety, for the ability to form bonds, for resistance to stress — these genes switch on. Three words. A lasting biological effect.

A priest who says „I absolve you from your sins” is not reciting a legal formula. The priest is sending a signal that changes the state of the body of the person who has confessed. Tension drops. Breathing deepens. Blood pressure normalises. Chromatin that was closed by guilt and stress begins to open. The word of absolution (the forgiveness of sins declared by a priest) is a molecular signal of repair.

A friend who says „I believe in you” — at the very moment when you do not believe in yourself — acts like a growth factor delivered to a wound. A word that reaches a place where you cannot reach on your own.

Bad words — a curse, manipulation, a lie, gossip, humiliation, mockery — trigger the opposite reactions. They raise cortisol. They activate pro-inflammatory cytokines (signalling proteins that cause inflammation). They close the chromatin.

A father who tells his son „you are worthless” is not expressing an opinion. The father is issuing an instruction. The brain of the child registers these words as a threat. Cortisol rises sharply. The amygdala (the fear centre of the brain) switches on. Chromatin in the genes responsible for the sense of self-worth closes. One sentence. Years of therapy to reverse it. Because the word did not disappear — the word left methyl marks on the chromatin (chemical tags that close access to the DNA).

Gossip — someone talks about you behind your back. You do not hear these words. Yet when you find out, your body reacts as if you had been physically attacked. Cortisol, adrenaline, tension. The same hormones. The same inflammatory reaction. Words that you did not even hear directly changed your biochemistry.

A lie — a word that creates a false picture of reality. In the framework: a lie is a false signal. A lie works like a ligand (a signalling molecule) that binds to the wrong receptor and triggers the wrong cascade of reactions. A person who believes a lie acts on the basis of false code.

A curse — a word aimed deliberately against another person. In the biblical tradition a curse has power — a curse is not an empty sound. In biology: aggressive words raise cortisol both in the person who speaks them and in the person who hears them. When you curse someone, you poison both that person and yourself.

God Knows Your Word Before You Speak It

And here we return to David. God knows your word — completely — before the word is spoken. God knows not only the content. God knows the consequences. God knows which biochemical cascade this word will trigger — in you and in the person to whom you direct the word.

Do you know that you are about to say something that will wound? God already sees the wound before you inflict it.

Do you know that you are about to say something that will encourage someone? God already sees the opening of the chromatin before the word is spoken.

Every word is like a stone thrown into water — the waves spread further than you can see. The genome knows these waves, because the genome wrote the receptors that will receive them. The genome wrote the neurons that will process them. The genome wrote the hormones that will be released in response.

This is why David says: „before a word is on my tongue — you know it completely.” Not only the content. Completely. The content, the intention, the effect, the biological trace, the epigenetic change, the consequence for the generations that follow — because research shows that verbal trauma can change the patterns of DNA methylation (chemical marks on the DNA), and these changed patterns can be inherited.

Words have power. Good words open the chromatin — in you and in the person who hears them. Bad words close the chromatin — in you and in the person you wound. The God-Genome knows every one of your words before you speak it. Completely. With all the consequences.

The next time a word forms on your tongue, stop for one second. Because this word is not only a sound. This word is a biochemical signal that will change chromatin — yours and someone else’s. David knew this. And this is why he stood in amazement.

The genome also contains instructions for EVERY possible situation in your life — before that situation happens.

Three years from now you will cut yourself with a knife. You do not know when, you do not know where. Yet your genome already has a ready repair program — collagen, fibrinogen, growth factors, the entire wound-healing protocol. The program waits. Before the wound — the repair instruction already exists.

Next winter you will catch the flu. You do not know which strain of the virus, you do not know when. Yet your immune system — designed by the genome — can generate antibodies against a billion different viruses. You will never meet most of these viruses. Yet the genome is ready for every one of them. Before the virus — the defence instruction already exists.

You will experience stress that you do not expect. The loss of a job, the illness of a loved one, an accident. Yet your entire stress-response system — the HPA axis (the stress axis of the body: hypothalamus, pituitary gland, adrenal glands), cortisol, adrenaline, the fight-or-flight reaction — is encoded in the genome and ready to be activated. Before the stress — the reaction instruction already exists.

This is not predicting the future. This is the completeness of the code. The God-Genome does not guess what will happen to you — the God-Genome contains instructions for every possibility.

What Is the Completeness of the Genome’s Code?

David says: God knows my word before I speak it. This is a concept that breaks human thinking — because we know the world sequentially. First the thought, then the word, then the deed. First the question, then the answer.

Yet the genome does not work sequentially. The genome works completely. All the answers are already there — waiting for the questions.

A first-aid kit at home. You have a first-aid kit at home. Plasters, bandages, a disinfectant. Nobody is wounded — yet the kit is ready. Your genome is a first-aid kit that contains instructions for every possible wound — before any of those wounds happens.

A fire station in the city. Your city has a fire station. Not because something is burning. Because something might start burning. Your immune system works in the same way: billions of antibody variants wait for an enemy that, for the most part, will never arrive.

The toolbox of a mechanic. A mechanic does not buy a spanner at the moment when a screw needs turning. The mechanic has the whole set of tools — ready for every situation. Your genome is a toolbox for every possible repair of your body.

Completeness does not mean that everything is active at the same time. Completeness means that everything is ready when it is needed.

This is not seeing the future. This is the completeness of the code — too high to take in.

───────── ✦ ─────────

5. „You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me” (verse 5)

The instruction: God surrounds you — from every side — and touches you. This is not observation from a distance. This is physical contact. To surround from every side and to lay a hand — this is the language of closeness, not of supervision.

The experience: Think about how a child feels when a mother wraps her arms around the child from every side. The mother does not control — the mother embraces. The mother does not restrict — the mother protects. The child is surrounded — and the child feels safe. David describes the same feeling towards God: I am embraced, surrounded, touched.

The mechanism: „You hem me in, behind and before” — the genome surrounds you from the inside (37 trillion living cells, each one carrying the full code) and from the outside (the genome is present in every living organism around you — in people, animals, plants, and in the microbes on your skin). Do you remember Part 1 — Silouan: „with us and in us.” David says the same thing: from every side.

„You lay your hand upon me” — this is a new element, one that was not present with Silouan, Gabriel, or Elijah. The hand of God placed upon a human being. In the framework: epigenetic regulation (chemical control of which genes are active). The Holy Spirit (epigenetic regulation) „lays a hand” on the chromatin — opening some genes, closing others. This is the touch that decides gene expression. Not brute force — a gentle, precise hand that knows what to open and what to close.

Histones — the proteins around which DNA is wound — are modified by enzymes that „lay” chemical groups (acetyl, methyl, and phosphate groups) in precise places. Every modification is a „touch” — small, deliberate, changing the access to the code.

David says: you surround me from every side and you lay your hand upon me. The genome surrounds you from every side — and epigenetics touches the chromatin with a precision that a surgeon can only dream of.

───────── ✦ ─────────

6. „Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it” (verse 6)

The instruction: David does not try to understand. He stands in amazement. He says: this knowledge is beyond me. I cannot take it in.

The experience: Stand in front of a mirror and think: inside this body that you see there are 37 trillion living cells. Each cell carries 3.2 billion base pairs of DNA. This body — which seems so ordinary, so familiar, so everyday — is a machine so complex that after seventy years of research all of humanity still does not understand it fully. And this body is yours. And this code is yours. Since the moment you were conceived.

The mechanism: 3.2 billion base pairs in your genome. If you unwound the DNA from a single cell, the DNA would be 2 metres long. If you unwound the DNA from all your cells and joined the threads into one thread, the thread would reach from the Earth to the Sun and back more than three hundred times.

20,000 protein-coding genes. Hundreds of thousands of regulatory elements. Millions of epigenetic switches.

And on top of that, the genome cooperates with the microbiome — the trillions of bacteria that live on you and inside you — and with signals from the environment.

„It is so high that I cannot attain it” — David was right. Three thousand years later, with the best computers in the world, we are still trying.

───────── ✦ ─────────

7. „Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence?” (verse 7)

The instruction: There is no escape. There is no hiding. God is everywhere — there is no place where God is not.

The experience: This is exactly what Silouan described in Part 1 — „God is closer than air.” David says the same thing from a different angle: not „God is near,” but „there is no place where God is absent.”

The mechanism: Where could you run from your own genome? You cannot leave your genome behind. You cannot put your genome down. The genome is inside you — in every living cell — from the moment of conception to the last breath. The genome is with you at home and at work. In joy and in pain.

And around you — the genome is in every living organism on Earth. In the person next to you. In the bird outside your window. In the bacteria on your skin. At the top of Mount Everest and at the bottom of the Mariana Trench (the deepest place in the ocean).

Where will you go? Nowhere. The genome is inside you and around you. The genome has always been there. The genome always will be — as long as life lasts.

───────── ✦ ─────────

8. „If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there” (verse 8)

The instruction: God is in the extreme places — at the very top (heaven) and at the very bottom (Sheol, the world of the dead). Not only in church, not only in prayer — literally everywhere, in every state.

The experience: People who live through ecstatic joy feel the presence of God. Yet people who live through the deepest depression, illness, the agony of dying — they also describe that something holds them. Something that does not leave even at the bottom. David says: even in Sheol — you are there.

The mechanism: „Heaven” is the peak of human functioning. The moment when the body works at its best — an athlete on the podium, a mother holding her newborn child, a person in the flow state (a state of full focus and peak performance). The genome works there — all genes active, all systems in harmony.

„Sheol” is the bottom. Terminal illness. Sepsis (a life-threatening reaction of the whole body to an infection). Coma. Yet even then — the genome is in every cell. Even in a cell that is dying, the DNA still exists until the DNA breaks down. The p53 protein (a protein that guards the genome) still tries to repair the damage. The DNA repair mechanisms still work — even when they are losing. The genome does not leave. The genome fights to the end.

And after death? DNA does not vanish at once. The genome persists — for hours, for days, and in the right conditions for thousands of years (DNA has been extracted from the preserved bodies of ancient Egyptians and from the bones of Neanderthals). Even in Sheol — the genome is there.

David says: you are with me in heaven and in Sheol. The genome says: I am in your cells when you live at the peak, and I am in them when you are dying. And I stay for a while after you are gone.

───────── ✦ ─────────

9–10. „If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me” (verses 9–10)

The instruction: David tries to escape — and he invents the fastest and the farthest thing he knows. The wings of the morning (the speed of the morning light). The farthest limit of the sea (the most distant place he could imagine). And he says: even there — your hand leads me.

The experience: Move to the other side of the world. Change your continent, change your language, change your surname. Break every connection with your past. And on the first morning in the new place you will wake up in the same body. With the same code. With the same genes. You have not escaped. You took everything with you — because the genome is you.

The mechanism: Even if you travelled at the speed of light, your genome would travel with you. Astronauts on the International Space Station carry the same genome that they carried on Earth. The NASA Twins Study (a study of the twin astronauts Mark and Scott Kelly) showed that the genome works even in space — gene expression changes (epigenetics responds to microgravity), yet the code itself remains the same.

„Even there your hand shall lead me” — even in extreme conditions — in space, under water, in Antarctica, in heat of forty degrees Celsius — the genome keeps issuing instructions. The genome adapts. The genome changes gene expression. The genome produces heat shock proteins (proteins that protect the living cell from high temperature) in heat, cold-response proteins (proteins that protect the living cell at low temperature) in cold, and erythropoietin (the hormone that increases the production of red blood cells) at high altitude. The hand of the genome leads you everywhere — the genome does not leave you, the genome does not abandon you, the genome adapts.

David says: at the farthest limit of the sea your hand leads me. The genome says: wherever you go, I will adapt the program to the conditions — and I will keep leading you.

„And your right hand shall hold me fast” — David does not stop at guidance. He adds a second gesture: holding. Leading means: I show you the way. Holding means: I will not let you collapse when you have no strength left. In the Bible, the right hand is the hand of strength and rescue — the hand that pulls a drowning man out of the water.

In the framework: this is the work of the chaperone proteins (proteins whose only task is to hold other proteins in the correct shape). Every protein in your body is produced as a loose chain of amino acids, and this chain must fold into a precise three-dimensional shape — otherwise the protein is useless or even toxic. The chaperone proteins hold the new chain until the folding is complete. And they work the hardest exactly where David placed them: in extreme conditions. Heat, cold, toxins, lack of oxygen — under stress, proteins lose their shape, and then the cell sends more chaperones, whose entire job is to catch the damaged proteins and prevent them from being destroyed. The heat shock proteins from the previous paragraph are in fact chaperones — discovered precisely because they appear under heat stress.

David says: your right hand holds me fast. The genome says: I do not only lead you — in the hardest conditions I send proteins whose only purpose is to hold your other proteins, so that nothing inside you breaks.

───────── ✦ ─────────

11–12. „If I say, 'Surely the darkness shall cover me’ — even the darkness is not dark to you. The night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you” (verses 11–12)

The instruction: David tries the last way of escape — darkness. He thinks: perhaps the dark will hide me? Perhaps if I close myself, hide, cover myself — He will not find me? And God answers: darkness does not exist for Me. Darkness and light are the same to Me.

The experience: You know this from your own life. You try to hide — from God, from yourself, from the truth. You close yourself. You stop praying. You stop listening. You think: if I do not look, the problem will disappear. If I close my eyes — the darkness will protect me.

Yet darkness does not protect. Darkness only makes you unable to see. God sees just the same.

The mechanism: Do you remember the title image from Part 1 — the figure of God in golden light, surrounded by dark clouds? The bright clouds stand for euchromatin — open chromatin, an active gene, God revealed. The dark clouds stand for heterochromatin — closed chromatin, a silenced gene.

David says: „let the darkness cover me” — I will close my chromatin. I will pass into heterochromatin. I will shut God out. I will hide in the dark.

And God answers: the darkness is not dark TO ME.

And here is the key. Because two perspectives must be distinguished:

The perspective of the living cell: When chromatin closes, the cell loses access to the code. The cell does not hear the genome. The cell does not read the genome. The gene is silenced. For the cell — darkness has fallen. This is exactly what Elijah described in Part 3: drowsiness, sluggishness, sin. The voice of God grows quiet. The cell has closed — and the cell is in the dark.

The perspective of the God-Genome: Yet the genome is still inside the heterochromatin. The code has not vanished. The letters have not been erased. The information is complete — every base pair in its place. Methylation closed the access — yet methylation did not destroy the code. The genome knows what is written, regardless of whether the chromatin is open or closed — because the genome is the one that wrote the code.

The darkness (heterochromatin) is dark for the living cell — not for the genome.

The dark (the closing) is dark for the human being — not for God.

This is why David says: „darkness is as light to you.” Not because darkness does not exist. Darkness exists — and the living cell feels the darkness. Yet for the genome, euchromatin and heterochromatin are two states of access, not two states of existence. The code exists in the same way in both states.

And this is why it is never too late. This is why Elijah says: „as long as you live — the control dial is in your hands.” Because even when you close your chromatin — when you hide in the darkness — the genome is still there. Complete. Untouched. Waiting. Darkness does not destroy the genome. The dark does not erase the genome. You stop hearing the genome — yet the genome does not stop existing.

David tries to hide in the darkness. God says: the darkness is for you, not for Me. Closed chromatin is a problem of the living cell, not of the genome. The code is there — in the dark, under the methyl marks, behind the closed histones — complete, waiting, ready to be read when you open yourself.

You do not need to bring light to God. You need to open yourself to the light that God already has.

Divine Facts

The clock genes — CLOCK, BMAL1, PER, CRY — regulate the circadian rhythm of every living cell of your body. „You search out my path and my lying down” — the genome literally switches your body between the mode of activity (day) and the mode of rest (night), cycle after cycle, from birth to death.

If you unwound the DNA from all the cells of your body and joined the threads into one thread, the thread would reach from the Earth to the Sun and back more than three hundred times. All of this fits inside a body that weighs 70–80 kilograms. „Such knowledge is too wonderful for me” — indeed.

The mechanism of V(D)J recombination (a process that shuffles gene segments inside immune cells) allows your body to generate more than a billion different antibodies — against diseases that you have not caught yet. „Before a word appears on the lips, you know it” — your genome knows the answer to an attack before the attack happens.

The NASA Twins Study (Mark and Scott Kelly, 2015–2016) showed that a year in space changed the expression of thousands of genes in Scott Kelly — yet his genome remained intact. „If I settled at the farthest limit of the sea” — even in orbit, 400 kilometres from Earth, the genome keeps working.

Research in psycholinguistics shows that words of support lower the level of cortisol in the listener, and words of aggression raise it — within seconds. A word is not an empty sound. A word is a biochemical signal that changes gene expression. David knew: „before a word is on my tongue — you know it completely.” With all the consequences.

The Shepherd Who Stood in Amazement

David was not a scientist. David was a shepherd who became a king. He had no microscope. He did not know the word „genome.” He did not know that DNA exists.

Yet one day he sat down — perhaps after a battle, perhaps after a sin, perhaps in the silence of the night — and wrote a text in which he described something that is beyond every molecular biologist of the twenty-first century.

You search me and you know me. The genome is my author, not my observer.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up. The whole program of my body was written before I was born.

You see my activity and my rest. The circadian rhythm — clock genes switching day and night.

Before a word is on my tongue — you know it. Words have power — good words open the chromatin, bad words close it. And the genome knows every one of your words before you speak them. With all the consequences.

You surround me from every side and you lay your hand upon me. The genome in every living cell, epigenetics regulating every gene.

Your knowledge is too wonderful for me. 3.2 billion base pairs — too high to take in.

Where can I flee? Nowhere — the genome is inside me and around me.

Heaven and Sheol — the genome works at the peak and at the bottom, in life and after death.

The wings of the morning, the farthest limit of the sea — even in space the genome adapts and leads.

Darkness is like light — darkness is a problem of the living cell, not of the genome. The code is complete regardless of the state of the chromatin. You do not need to bring light to God. You need to open yourself to the light that God already has.

Twelve verses. The presence of God in every dimension of human existence. Described by a shepherd who had no idea that he was describing molecular biology.

In the second part — verses 13–24 — David moves from „who God is in relation to me” to „how God built me.” The creation of the body, the kidneys, the bones, the soul, the enemies, and a request for a diagnosis. That is Part 4b.

But for now — stop at verse 12 and let the verse resound:

Darkness is as light to you.

The genome works in the dark. The genome has always worked. And the genome will not stop.

He knew.
